President Donald Trump on Thursday called for an investigation into the nation’s courts after the judge attempting to block the deportation flights of suspected gang members was also assigned to preside over the case involving the Signal chat leak between top Trump administration officials that discussed military strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen.
In an early morning post, Trump ripped into Judge James Boasberg, a liberal U.S. District Court Judge in Washington, D.C., who has a history of undermining border security efforts. Boasberg is overseeing a case over the deportation flights of suspected members of Tren de Aragua to El Salvador and now a lawsuit filed against the Trump administration claiming that the Signal chat violated the Federal Records Act.
